Gap Mountain Reservation
PLEASE NOTE: Gap Mt. is currently in heavy use. We recommend, as an alternative hike, climbing Little Monadnock Mt. in Fitzwilliam.
For instructions on climbing Little Monadnock, click on Other Hikes and then click on GET ON THE TRAIL, then FIND HIKES (twice)
The starting point for this hike up Little Monadnock is at 668 Rhododendron Rd. in Fitzwilliam, 1 mile west of the entrance to Rhododendron State Park.
If you have any questions about Gap Mt. or Little Monadnock, feel free to call Frank at 603-585-3448
Located in southern Troy NH, Gap Mountain offers a spectacular view of Mt. Monadnock and the surrounding countryside for the price of a climb of less than an hour through lovely stands of pine and hardwood.
The Gap Mountain Reservation is owned by the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests and administered by the State of New Hampshire Department of Parks and Recreation. The SPNHF maintains two parking areas that provide off road parking to the South and the North of the Mountain. Come visit one of the outstanding natural preserves in southwestern New Hampshire.
